About Therapy

I am trained and qualified in integrative therapy. This means I have studied different theories and concepts about the human self, so when I work with you, I will adopt my approach to suit your needs and feelings. This includes concepts such as Person Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis. However, underlying all of my practise is the belief that the relationship I have with you as my client will be the most important part of the work we undertake together.

Holding a heart
Candle and Berries

I draw my beliefs and values from a person centred approach which means I will provide counselling to you in an empathetic and non-judgemental way which puts you, as the client, at the centre of the sessions. You decide what you want to bring to the sessions and what direction you want to go, with the intention to provide you with a further awareness and understanding of what is happening for you in your life. This can lead to positive growth and change for you, or can help you towards achieving your life goals.

Counselling usually takes place once a week (although I can offer flexibility here if needed) and our work together will be open-ended, meaning that you are not limited to a fixed amount of sessions. Sessions are 50-minutes long, and there are different choices to how you can have therapy.

Face-to-Face

You can come and see me in my premises out in one of the pretty villages just outside of Canterbury. I am proud to offer a cosy and comfortable room which I hope you would feel safe in.

Remote via Zoom or the telephone

I think online counselling can be just as effective and beneficial as face-to-face and in our busy lives, it can be just more convenient! I will be in the same therapy room as if we were face-to-face to guarantee your confidentiality.

My Therapy Room outside of Canterbury, Kent.

I offer a free and friendly chat over the phone and from this, I hope you will feel safe and supported, and listened to in a warm and non-judgemental way. You can use this time to see if you think I will be a good fit for you, and if you think you would benefit from counselling from me, with absolutely no obligation to proceed. Further information can be found at the bottom of the page, or please click here.
