Counsellor
Village
Canterbury
Hi... It's nice to have you here...
I remember when I first reached out for counselling help, it was one of the scariest things I had to do. Therefore, if you are feeling a little (or a lot) daunted or worried about the next step, I am here to tell you that it is totally understandable and you are not alone! I can be here to help and guide you through your choices at your own pace.

Hi... It's nice to have you here...
I remember when I first reached out for counselling help, it was one of the scariest things I had to do. Therefore, if you are feeling a little (or a lot) daunted or worried about the next step, I am here to tell you that it is totally understandable, and you are not alone! I can be here to help and guide you through your choices at your own pace.
About Me...
My name is Sarah, (she/her) and I live in one of the Canterbury villages in Kent (UK). I was always cynical about therapy. However, after several personal years of counselling, I was inspired to retrain and qualify as a counsellor because of the positive benefits it had on my life.
I think of the things I would want from my counsellor and I try to mirror them for you. In a time when life feels tough enough, I am not here to make it harder, and I like to think I offer a very down to earth approach. I aim to be curious, kind, honest, warm and most importantly, I want you to feel you have a real human being supporting you by your side, with personality, individualism and (dare I say it) imperfections! How can I help you?
So here comes the technical part, I am trained in integrative therapy. This means I have studied different theories and concepts about the human self, so when I work with you, I will adopt my approach to suit your needs.
Our sessions will usually take place once a week (although this can be flexible if needed) and last for 50 minutes. Counselling can be done:
- Face-to-face.
- Online via Zoom.
- Over the telephone.

I have experience counselling adults for a range of different issues. These include:
- Anxiety & panic attacks
- Stress & burnout
- Relationship Issues
- Low mood, sadness & depression
- Perinatal mental health (for example, postnatal depression (PND))
- Family conflicts
- Parenting
- Older people & pensioners
- Self-esteem and self-confidence
- Understanding emotions
I am not limited to this list, so if there is something else you would like counselling in, please feel free to get in touch.
I am a safe space for neurodivergent, LGBTQ plus, sex workers and people living with AIDS, and I am wheelchair friendly. Furthermore, I am registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) which means I adhere to a strict code of professionalism and ethics.
So you like what you hear, do you want to take the next step?
I get it, you have got to this part and are probably thinking how are you possibly going to share very personal things about yourself to a complete stranger? I offer a free and friendly chat over the phone. From this, I hope you will feel safe and supported, and listened to in a warm and non-judgemental way. You can use this time to see if you think I will be a good fit for you, and if you think you would benefit from counselling from me, with absolutely no obligation to proceed. Further information can be found at the bottom of the page, or please click here.
